Chinese Vinegar Jar

These vintage Chinese Vinegar Jars were discovered in the ShanXi province of China, a region whose name translates to “West of the Mountains.” Traditionally used within the ShanXi community for storing and transporting salt, oil, and water, each jar carries individual characteristics shaped by its original use and age.

The black-hued finish and simple vessel form make these jars especially well suited to styling on a console, tabletop, shelf, or other collected surface. Display one on its own or group different sizes together for added scale and variation.

As authentic vintage pieces, variations in shape, finish, color, surface texture, and signs of age are expected. Each jar will differ, making those variations an inherent part of the piece rather than imperfections.

Available in Small, Medium, and Large.
